About the Course
Senbadaira is located on the very Western side of Toyama prefecture. While it is close to Oyabe Interchange on the Hokuriku Expressway, it is a very long taxi ride from downtown Toyama. You really need to have a rental car, or be on one of our tours to access this course easily.
To be honest,we only found this course one weekend when we tried to book a last minute round of golf during the peak autumn season. But we are glad we did.
It is a little older course (opening in 1974), but good maintenance and upgrade have kept it modern. As with all Toyama courses,we found the staff to be very friendly and always quick to laugh.
A 27 hole course, each 9 holes has a different name. “Hakusan”, “Nihonkai”, and “Tateyama” are the names of the courses, with each being associated with a landmark each course faces.
If wanting to play all 27 holes, then it is often better to get an afternoon tee off for the first nine holes, then overnight nearby, and play the other 18 holes the next day.
There are a good mix of holes, and many fairways run parallel, making not too much out of bounds along the way. If you are a fan of dog-legs then the Nihonkai Course is a must.
Overall a very enjoyable course to play.
