Nagano Kokusai Country Club
About the Course
Nagano Kokusai Country Club (aka Nagano International Country Club) is one of the finest courses in the region. Located about 30 minutes drive north of Nagano Station, and 1 hour 15 minutes from Hakuba, this is a good course for the first or last day or your trip.
One of the older courses in the region, it opened as an 18 hole course way back in 1973, and then added a further 9 holes ( the Joyama Course) back in 1978. The current club house dates back to 1991 and as a quality building it still has a modern feel to it.
With 27 holes, the course is broken down into 3 courses. The Myoko Course is to the north (in yellow on the map below) and face over Myoko Kogen and Mt Myoko. The Kurohime Course is to the west (in blue), and has views of Mt Kurohime, while the Joyama Course faces south (in red below).
The quality of the course is high as is the staff, who are always friendly and welcoming. We also found the members here to be very accommodating, even asking us to join their group.
The experienced chef has a background of over 30 years in French cuisine and the meals here are very good, and fill you up.
There are a couple of places on the course to get refreshments during your round (alcoholic and soft drinks).
Next to the club house is a small driving range (netted), and a couple of practice greens are available to get you warmed up.
Bring a change of clothes as there is a very good bath house here, and it is a good place to relax after the round.
A little bit more expensive than other courses, but with very seasonal pricing. So send us a request below and we’ll get a quote to you.
